Entrepreneur Development Activities

Science and Technology for entrepreneurship development program – DST, New Delhi.

Activities carried out

-Conducted motivation programs and individual counseling for identification of potential entrepreneurs and sick enterprises.

-A task force committee had been constituted covering the Government department heads of the District individual centre, TADCO, District Rural Development Agency, NABARD co-operative society, KVIC, TITICO, Tamil Nadu women Development Corporation and the District Lead Bank for effective implementation.

- Conducted five skill development trainings under the following 8 trades.

1. Pottery.

2. Fibre and coir.

3. Wood carving.

4. Rural engineering.

5. Stone sculpture.

6. Garment Designing

7. Off-set printing press.

8. Art & designing.

-Conducted project implementation committee meeting 3 times.

-Tie up  with all related departments and institutions.

-Made an exposure visit for entrepreneurs.

-Get together among the similar trades and network marketing.

-Issued certificates for skill training and EDP training beneficiaries.

-89  entrepreneurs were selected.

The following enterprises were established during the project period trade.
